COME JOURNEY WITH ME

READY TO BEGIN
BLOGGING
I ASK GOD TO GRANT
ME WISDOM
"For by grace are
ye saved through
faith, and that not of
yourselves; it
is the gift of God: not
of works,
lest any man should
boast. For
we are his workmanship,
created
in Christ Jesus unto
good works, which
God hath before ordained
that we
should walk in
them"
As I launch out into
blogging, I
am looking at using this
site to link
my other sites to it.
Over the years of our
marriage Henry drove us everywhere - I took photos. Nothing great,
but as I look at these photos, I see a way to share my faith with others.
Then there are his sermons, and my poems, and much to ponder on.
So here I go into the BLOGGING WORLD with God helping me.
Believing as I do that
God's Word is my source and all I need for direction - I am counting on His
dear Spirit to lift up the Savior in my blogs that even should the LORD JESUS
CHRIST come for His Bride and take all the Believers up with him - the Blogs
will still be on line for whoever wishes to read and look at and find the same
faith in the Lord Jesus and that His Blood is the only way that a sinner can be
saved. His sacrifice was enough once for all, for each one who will
turn to Him.
Romans 14.7 - 9
For none of us liveth to himself, and no man
dieth to himself. For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether
we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the
Lord's. For to this end Christ both died and rose, and revived, that he
might be Lord of the dead and the living.
Jesus may come today !
Glad Day, Glad Day,
If He should Come Today,
I'll live for
today
nor anxious be,
Jesus my Lord I soon
shall see,
Glad Day ! Glad
Day !
Jesus ! may come today
!
It has been a year since
my hip was operated on and I am doing well. A year ago I was still
having care and now here I am, back to my computer, back to studying and doing
things I like to do. How blessed I am. I pray that I may share my
faith, and give many encouragement to keep living for the Lord if they already
know Him, and for others, that I might present Christ in such a way that they
too will want to trust Him as Lord and Savior.
MARY AND MARTHA
In Luke 10 we have the
record of how Jesus came to a certain village, and a certain woman named Martha
invited him into her house. Now here he is at her invitation,
enjoying the things she did for him. It then states that she had a
sister Mary, who sat at Jesus' feet, hearing what he said.
Mary was very busy in
what she did. She was doing it for Jesus, and so she began to feel
cumbered - it was a big job. She went to Jesus and said, Lord, dost thou
care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that
she help me.
Hmmn. What D I D
Jesus say ? It says that Jesus answered and said "Martha, Martha, thou art
careful and troubled about many things: but some thing is more needful: and
Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away."
You and I may be busy
people.
We may think that like
Martha, inviting someone to share a meal is the "thing to do"...but
here is Mary - who most likely was there to assist Martha, but because of
Who Jesus was, and because she knew she wanted to LISTEN TO HIM she did just
that.
Today people are busy -
working, eating, driving, traveling, playing. Everyone has things that
they do which they MUST DO, and everyone has some things that they WISH TO DO.
Not everyone wishes to "sit at the feet of Jesus" and yes,
listen.
Every time I open my
Bible I give God's dear Spirit the opportunity to speak to me.
Every time I heed that which I read, I gain new strength and help for my
day.
More than that, spending
time with the Lord in Prayer is very important. God values our time with
Him. Have you made it a priority in your life?
Jesus said "If ye
abide in me, and my words abide in you, you shall ask what ye will, and it
shall be done unto you."
Again he said, "And
whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be
glorified in the Son; if ye ask anything in my name, I will do it."
1. Seek God's Will as
best as you know how.
2. Give God your
expectations.
3. Use what you have.
4. Read His Word, and
Listen to His Spirit for guidance.
5. When you are in doubt
about something - don't!
6. Obey even when I do
not understand - God will enable you to do that.
7. Trust
God for the Supply.
In Martha's case she was
burdened and laden down because she put herself in that position. There
is a time for service, but there
is a much greater need
to
stop, and learn from
Jesus Himself.
Climbing higher will
only happen when we stop and sit at the feet of the Savior who longs for
that closeness that
comes from listening to Him.
As I sit at my desk and
work along, I myself need to find time alone with the Lord Jesus Christ, to
seek His face, and to pray that I may be used to do His will in my life.
Thought for the Day
"USE WHAT YOU
HAVE"
Do not consider what you
do not have.
Don't think about what
you think you should have.
Take stock and
inventory.
Your resources.
Your assets.
Your belongings.
Your ideas.
Your little is much if
God is in it.
