READY TO BEGIN BLOGGING
I  ASK GOD TO GRANT ME WISDOM

"For by grace are ye saved through
faith, and that not of yourselves; it
is the gift of God: not of works,
lest any man should boast. For
we are his workmanship, created
in Christ Jesus unto good works, which
God hath before ordained that we
should walk in them"

As I launch out into blogging, I
am looking at using this site to link
my other sites to it.

Over the years of our marriage Henry drove us everywhere -   I took photos.   Nothing great, but as I look at these photos, I see a way to share my faith with others.   Then there are his sermons, and my poems, and much to ponder on.  So here I go into the BLOGGING WORLD with God helping me.
Believing as I do that God's Word is my source and all I need for direction - I am counting on His dear Spirit to lift up the Savior in my blogs that even should the LORD JESUS CHRIST come for His Bride and take all the Believers up with him - the Blogs will still be on line for whoever wishes to read and look at and find the same faith in the Lord Jesus and that His Blood is the only way that a sinner can be saved.  His sacrifice was enough once for all, for each one who will
turn to Him.

Romans 14.7 - 9
For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself.  For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's.   For to this end Christ both died and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord of the dead and the living.

Jesus may come today !
Glad Day, Glad Day,
If He should Come Today,
I'll live for today
nor anxious be,
Jesus my Lord I soon shall see,
Glad Day !  Glad Day !
Jesus ! may come today !

It has been a year since my hip was operated on and I am doing well.   A year ago I was still having care and now here I am, back to my computer, back to studying and doing things I like to do.   How blessed I am.   I pray that I may share my faith, and give many encouragement to keep living for the Lord if they already know Him, and for others, that I might present Christ in such a way that they too will want to trust Him as Lord and Savior.

MARY AND MARTHA
In Luke 10 we have the record of how Jesus came to a certain village, and a certain woman named Martha invited him into her house.    Now here he is at her invitation, enjoying the things she did for him.   It then states that she had a sister Mary, who sat at Jesus' feet, hearing what he said.
Mary was very busy in what she did.  She was doing it for Jesus, and so she began to feel cumbered - it was a big job.   She went to Jesus and said, Lord, dost thou care that my sister hath left me to serve alone?  bid her therefore that she help me.
Hmmn.   What D I D Jesus say ? It says that Jesus answered and said "Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: but some thing is more needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away."

You and I may be busy people.
We may think that like Martha, inviting someone to share a meal is the "thing to do"...but here is Mary - who most likely was there to assist Martha, but because of  Who Jesus was, and because she knew she wanted to LISTEN TO HIM she did just that.

Today people are busy - working, eating, driving, traveling, playing.   Everyone has things that they do which they MUST DO, and everyone has some things that they WISH TO DO.   Not everyone wishes to "sit at the feet of Jesus" and yes, listen.

Every time I open my Bible I give God's dear Spirit the opportunity to speak to me.    Every time I heed that which I read, I gain new strength and help for my day.
More than that, spending time with the Lord in Prayer is very important.   God values our time with Him.    Have you made it a priority in your life?

Jesus said "If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, you shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you."
Again he said, "And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son; if ye ask anything in my name, I will do it."

1. Seek God's Will as best as you know how.
2. Give God your expectations.
3. Use what you have.
4. Read His Word, and Listen to His Spirit for guidance.
5. When you are in doubt about something - don't!
6. Obey even when I do not understand -  God will enable you to do that.
7.    Trust God for the Supply.

In Martha's case she was burdened and laden down because she put herself in that position.   There is a time for service, but there
is a much greater need to
stop, and learn from Jesus Himself.

Climbing higher will only happen when we stop and sit at the feet of the Savior who longs for
that closeness that comes from listening to Him.

As I sit at my desk and work along, I myself need to find time alone with the Lord Jesus Christ, to seek His face, and to pray that I may be used to do His will in my life.

Thought for the Day
"USE WHAT YOU HAVE"
Do not consider what you do not have.
Don't think about what you think you should have.
Take stock and inventory.
Your resources.   Your assets.
Your belongings.   Your ideas.
Your little is much if God is in it.

Climbing Higher with Biblebuffjunebug99

Climb with me in my notes and meanderings as I share with you
LIFE IS A JOURNEY
I want you to benefit from what I share so come along with me.
In Genesis chapter 12, God called Abram to leave what he knew for a land that he had never seen.
God gave him a promise that if he would do this,
“I will make of thee a great nation,
And I will bless thee, and make thy name great,
And thou shalt be a blessing:
And I will bless those that bless you,
And curse him that curseth you,
And in thee shall all families of the earth
Be blessed.”   (Genesis 12.2,3)

   Hebrews 11th chapter,
verse 1  tells us “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, and the evidence of things not seen.”    I am 84, a widow, and my heart is filled with longing to share my faith with you.  Climb with me as I blog and post photos, memories, as well as poems I have written, and sermons which my husband wrote and delivered in his over 60 years of ministry.    So here I am, and will, as I can do this.    Come climb with me.   My life belongs to the Lord Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for me that I might have life eternal, and I give to you what was given to me, my faith and hope in Him.

WALK WITH ME.     I CHALLENGE YOU TO DISCOVER GOD'S WILL FOR YOUR LIFE, AND HIS PLAN FOR YOU AS YOU SEE WHAT GOD HAS DONE FOR ME, IN MY LIFE.

LOST IN THE DARKNESS
GOD'S WORD OUR LIGHT

Here is a picture of a lighthouse giving off light to the ships at sea, in a storm.     I would like to suggest that the Bible is our only source in this dark world to give hope, and light, and life.

When Jesus comes to take His people home with Him to the Father's house, He will come and the trump will sound a blast to "come up".   There will be no sign necessary for this to happen, for Jesus said, "I will come again, that where I am, ye may be also."
John 14. 1 - 3.
The picture is that the Bridegroom is going to be at the Father's house, getting the quarters ready for her.    She as the Bride, is to prepare herself for that happy time, doing what she can to make herself ready, and being prepared to go at any moment, for there is no way the Bride will know when He will come for her.
Lost in the darkness, many grope today for what seems to them a hopeless, helpless world.  They see the dreary endless line of those who are hungry, without homes or shelter, who are suffering pain and hurt, who are desolate without help, and those who are proud, rich, and need nothing who seem to just "be above" and who despise those who do not have what they have.
Scripture proclaims that in this dark world, Jesus came to bring the Light, even as God spoke the Light into the world in the beginning.   2 Cor. 4.6 tells us   "For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ."   Jesus himself said, "I am the light of the world; he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life."   (John 8.12)
Isaiah records in the Torah - in the book of Isaiah 4.13 that God speaks saying this:   "Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel: I will help thee, saith the LORD, and thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.

His promise to Israel is to defend her, to take care of her, to be her redeemer and as the LORD  (YHVH)  and as THE HOLY ONE and as THE REDEEMER,  we see why it was that the Holy One that was born in the manger of Bethlehem was named JESUS.   Matthew 1.21 tells us that "You shall call his name JESUS, for He shall save His people from their sins.
The birth of a baby is a precious time in a parent's life.   And yet, interestingly enough, the time in the Last Days is called "the beginning of sorrows."   What is it referring to?   Matthew 24.8  Let us take a look at it in Joel 1.15 and in Joel 2.1,2   Alas ! for the day ! for the day of the LORD is at hand, and a destruction from the Almighty shall it come."  "Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sould an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand. A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains;"   Isaiah 13.9  God tells us here in chapter 13.verse 6   Howl ye, for the day of the LORD is at hand;  it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty."   Again in verse 8,9   Behold the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it."
         What is God saying?
That there will be a time when THERE WILL BE A DAY.
A DAY IN SCRIPTURE BEGINS WITH THE "EVENING AND THE MORNING"  Genesis 1.5 And the evening and the morning were the first day."   So too in the LAST DAYS.     BEFORE BLESSING AND PEACE AND REWARD, JUDGEMENT ON SIN MUST OCCUR.     God is saying that there will be a time when judgment comes for sin upon earth.

The Book of Daniel speaks about this time.   It is very specific.   Because of the Book of Daniel we have a "time table" that is given for the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.   We find that in chapter 9.26,27 that it was told that "after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself; "  It also points out the destruction of the city of Jerusalem and the Temple.    This happened.    Jesus was crucified, and was "cut off" but "not for himself" ....He paid the price of all our sin, and is forever the ONLY NAME GIVEN AMONG MEN by which men CAN BE SAVED.
When the Rapture occurs - the 70th week of God's Revelation in Daniel will begin.    The taking of the Bride, the Church is likened to the birth of a child, with the "breaking of the water."     The Holy Spirit is likened to the living water that Jesus offered in John 4.14 "whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life."   Again, in John 5.24 Jesus stated  "Verily, verily I say unto you, he that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation but is passed from death unto life."
When the Church is taken out of this world, having met the Savior in the clouds and being changed forever to immortal bodies, as I Thessalonians 4.13  18 declares, we will be with Christ.    Until that time, the bodies of those of us who die will be in the earth and the sea, but when that TRUMP sounds to call us up, the dead in Christ shall be raised and we shall meet them in the clouds with Christ.
The Blast of the LAST TRUMP before a battle in the Old Testament shows that the first blast was to GATHER THE PEOPLE IN ORDER FOR ARRAY  and then after that was done,  then the second blast  ORDERED THEM FOR BATTLE.
We see here that the LAST DAY OF GOD'S TIMETABLE is a Time for both judgment, destruction and desolation while there will be a Time of blessing, reward, and eternal blessings.    There will be seven years -  the 70th week -
which will begin in chapter 4 of Revelation to the 19th chapter.   The picture is that John in the Revelation of Jesus Christ sees, is that he is caught up in chapter 4.1,2  to see from a HEAVENLY POSITION all that occurs from that point on.   Until Chapter 19 when the Marriage of the Lamb is come, John is in heaven observing what is happening on the earth with all the judgments.

During that time it says that millions of people will come to know the Lord.   Look at Revelation chapter 6.    First - there is a lull in the storms of judgment while God sets apart  144,000 virgin, Jewish men from the tribes of Israel, to be sealed so that they can not be hurt.    These 144,000 men are sealed in the middle of the 7 years - and will be taught by the Two Witnesses - the Gospel is still the same Gospel of Jesus Christ that you and I have today - but there will be one difference.    The Holy Spirit will be given just as in the days of Enoch, Abraham and Moses and Daniel.   At various time and in many ways God spoke to His people, it says in Hebrew 1.1,2.    Yet it is still the same Gospel.    The Holy Spirit indwells the Believer, and when we leave in the Rapture - the Holy Spirit will go with us.    However, the Holy Spirit will work in ways as He did in the Old Testament days, and work in people's lives to bring them to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.    The message is the same.    Isaiah 53 and Psalm 22 tell us of the Savior that dies for the sins of the lost sheep and of one who suffers for Israel's sin, and for the Gentile's sins.   Isaiah 53.6   "All we like sheep have gone astray, and he hath laid upon him the iniquity of us all."    No one but Messiah, the Anointed One, did this.
The message of Christ was believed by Jews, received by Jews and God added daily unto the Church such as should be saved.     Acts tells us in its chapters of the reality of the faith of these Jewish people.

Paul assures us that "I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation for the Jew first, and also to the Greek for therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith."   Romans 1. 16,17.

I present to you, dear friend, that God wants you to be ready for His return, to take the Church His Bride home to the Father's house, but that if you are not saved, I wish for you to know WHAT TO DO.   WHAT IS IT YOU SHOULD DO?
The very same thing that you would do now if you were to be saved.
The Apostle Peter when asked "What then shall we do?"  answered by saying
REPENT AND BE YE BAPTIZED EVERY ONE OF YOU IN THE NAME OF CHRIST FOR THE REMISSION (FORGIVENESS) OF SINS, AND YE SHALL RECEIVE THE GIFT OF THE HOLY GHOST (HOLY SPIRIT)."  Acts 1.38

There is no Biblical indication that Baptism did anything other than identify the Believer with the death burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ our Lord.   It does not save a person.    The repentance is the key to believing.
To repent is to "change your mind" and recognize sin as sin, and to turn away from "being in the habit of" sin.     A Believer becomes a new person when they ask God by believing Jesus paid the debt of sin fully and freely and that by claiming this promise, they receive the dear Holy Ghost, the Spirit of God, to lift up the dear Savior in our lives, to enable Jesus to live in me and through me.

So here you have an opportunity to trust God.

"This Jesus God hath raised up, whereof we all are witnesses."  Acts 1.32 - 36.    Peter spoke truthfully and plainly.

Would you continue walking in darkness, or do you wish to walk in the light as He is in the light?

THIS PHOTO I TOOK WHEN WE WERE THERE AT THE GRAND CANYON IN SEPTEMBER OF 1987.    IT IS A BEAUTIFUL VIEW.

I WOULD LIKE TO SHARE WITH YOU HOW I BELIEVE AND WAYS THAT YOU CAN WALK WITH GOD AS YOU DIG INTO HIS WORD, THE HOLY BIBLE, TO FIND OUT WHAT HE ASKS OF US, AND WHAT HE DESIRES OF HIS PEOPLE.   THE ONLY WAY TO KNOW GOD IS TO READ HIS LETTER TO US.

As I walk now with a walker, with very little pain, I go from my apartment to the main part of town where the quiet sidewalks and the ocean breeze waft the cries of seagulls and terns as they call to each other.    Climbing with me, I pray you will find new strength and hope for today's stresses and troubles, and all the tomorrows.   Philippians 4.13  I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.    I  am watching.   I am ready for His Soon Coming.

     CLIMBING IS AN ESSENTIAL.
MY LEGS,BOTH PHYSICAL AND SPIRITUAL, NEED TO BE HEALTHY.

FEBRUARY 26, 2016 I AM GOING TO HAVE A "REVISION" OF MY LEFT HIP AND WILL BE IN THE HOSPITAL FOR THREE DAYS, AND THEN IN REHAB UNTIL I CAN PROGRESS TO GETTING BACK TO WALKING.
IT IS A "SIDE TRIP" FOR ME.    GOD KNOWS AND CARES, AND I AM IN THE HANDS OF THE SHEPHERD WHO LOVES ME AND CARES FOR ME.
DO YOU KNOW THAT THE SHEPHERD LOVES AND CARES FOR YOU?
Here are some things to reflect upon:
     1.   The PAIN that Jesus suffered on the Cross for you and I was not in vain.  He
did suffer, and He took on all the mental, emotional, physical, and hurtful pain that
ever has or will be experienced by anyone, and took it on Himself, that we may be
His Children.    Isaiah chapter 53 tells us that 700 years before He ever came, He would
            just that.

     2.  The Precious Blood that Jesus shed as the Lamb of God given for our Sins, is more
than anything the ONE CENTRAL ISSUE in Christianity that some have set aside.
The Cross on which He died is only important because He did indeed shed His blood
for you and I.    John declared" BEHOLD, the Lamb of God which taketh away the sin of the world.  John 1.29

    3.   The Payment that Jesus paid for our sins and sorrows is complete and finished.   He cried
from the Cross, IT IS FINISHED  -  a mathematical term for a completion of something.
It is Done.   Nothing more has to be paid to make it possible for someone to be saved.  It
was what Jesus said when He told Mary, I am the Resurrection and the Life."    Again, He said
"I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life, no one cometh to the Father but by me."  John 14.6

   4.   The Power of the Resurrection is as effective today as it was when He rose from the grave.
He told the disciples several times that He was going to be taken, killed, dead, buried and
that He would rise again the Third Day.     Not just once did He tell them.   He told them
and told them.    As I read the Gospels Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, I see that again
and again He told them that these things were WRITTEN OF LONG BEFORE HE CAME
and that HE WAS GOING TO THE CROSS,  but THAT HE WOULD INDEED RISE
ON THE THIRD DAY.   My prayer and my goal is that "I may know Him and the power of
His Resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable unto His
          death."

  5.   FINALLY Last, but not least IS THE PROMISE OF HIS RETURN !
JOHN 14. 1 - 3    LET NOT YOUR HEART BE TROUBLED, YOU BELIEVE IN GOD,
BELIEVE ALSO IN ME.   IN MY FATHER'S HOUSE ARE MANY MANSIONS.   If
it were not so, I would have told you.   I go to prepare a place for you.   And if I go to prepare
a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself, that where I am, you may be
       also.
JESUS IS COMING FOR YOU AND ME -   THOSE WHO ARE LOOKING FOR HIM
TO COME, WHO LOVE HIM, WHO ARE LONGING FOR HIS APPEARING, WHO
ARE THE BLOOD - BOUGHT ONES WHO HE GAVE HIS LIFE FOR, AND FOR WHOM
HE CAME AS A LITTLE BABE IN A MANGER OVER 2000 YEARS AGO.

HE IS COMING.    ARE YOU READY?

YOU CAN BECOME A CHILD OF THE FATHER BY TRUSTING IN JESUS TODAY.
HE IS THE MESSIAH, THE LORD, THE ADONAI -  LORD AND MASTER -  WHO
WAS, AND IS, AND ALWAYS WILL BE GOD THE SON REVEALING THE FATHER
IN HIMSELF, AND WHO HAS PROMISED THAT TO EVERYONE WHO BELIEVES
IN HIM WOULD HAVE THE HOLY SPIRIT GIVEN TO THAT ONE WHO BELIEVES.

IT WAS JESUS HIMSELF SAID  "  GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD THAT HE GAVE
HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON THAT WHOSOEVER BELIEVETH IN HIM SHOULD NOT
PERISH, BUT HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE."   JOHN CHAPTER 3. VERSE 16

    Count on it.   I am taking a S I D E   T R I P  to the hospital, and then to the Rehabilitation
Center"   but someday YES SOMEDAY   I WILL TAKE A TRIP HOME WITH JESUS WHEN HE COMES TO CLAIM THE BRIDE, THE CHURCH, THOSE WHO LOVE HIM AND WHO ARE LOOKING FOR HIM.

REFLECTION ON THE SUFFERING OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST
